About me
I’ve grown up with cats my whole life, and my connection with them has shaped who I am today. From an early age, I was fascinated by their personalities, behaviours, and independent nature. That love for domestic cats naturally grew into a wider interest in the feline world, including big cats and smaller wild felines found across the globe.
As I learned more about different feline species, I became increasingly interested in both cat care and conservation. Over time, I realised how important education and understanding are when it comes to helping people better appreciate and care for cats, whether they live in our homes or in the wild.
In August 2024, I launched my first animal focused social media page, where I shared content about wildlife and conservation. As my interests evolved, I found myself becoming more and more drawn towards felines, and it quickly became clear that this was the direction I wanted to focus on most.
That journey eventually led to the creation of Zaraswildlife, a feline focused platform centred around cat care, educational content, personal experiences, and awareness surrounding both domestic and wild cats. Through this space, I hope to encourage greater understanding, appreciation, and compassion for felines of all kinds.
Why I Created This Website
Over time, my growing interest in cats and the wider feline world naturally led me to create this website as a space where I could bring everything together. From domestic cat care to the fascinating lives of wild felines, I wanted to build a platform that reflects my passion for understanding, learning, and sharing knowledge about cats in all their forms.
While I first began exploring wildlife and conservation more broadly, I found myself increasingly drawn towards felines and their unique place in both our homes and the natural world. This shift inspired me to focus more deeply on cats, from the animals we live alongside every day to the wild species that often go unnoticed.
A big part of this website is dedicated to exploring both well known and lesser known wild cats, from lions and tigers to species such as clouded leopards and Pallas’s cats. Each of these animals plays an important role in their ecosystems, and I want to help highlight their behaviours, habitats, and the challenges they face through educational content that is accessible and engaging.
Alongside this, domestic cats remain at the heart of everything I do. They are companions, personalities, and a huge source of inspiration for me. Through cat care content and shared experiences, I hope to encourage a better understanding of how we can support the cats that live in our homes and communities.
This website is still evolving, and so is my journey. What remains constant is my commitment to learning more about felines, sharing that knowledge, and encouraging others to appreciate and care for cats of all kinds in their own way.
My Passion & What I Hope to Achieve
Felines have always been a source of fascination for me, whether it is the presence of a lion in the wild or the playful behaviour of a domestic kitten. Over time, this interest has grown into a deeper appreciation for the diversity of cats and the important roles they play in both our lives and the natural world.
From well known big cats like tigers and leopards to lesser known species such as clouded leopards and black footed cats, each one has its own behaviours, adaptations, and place within its ecosystem. I find it especially important to highlight the species that are not always in the spotlight, as they are just as remarkable and often less understood.
Through this website, I want to share content that helps people learn more about felines in an accessible and engaging way. This includes cat care insights, educational posts about wild and domestic cats, and personal reflections from my own experiences working around animals.
Rather than focusing on a single message, my aim is to encourage curiosity, understanding, and appreciation for cats of all kinds. Whether someone is here to learn about their own pet or discover a wild species for the first time, I hope this space offers something meaningful to them.
